Now, I am going to do my best to convey to you the benefits in writing, but it will be nowhere near as effective as the sales pitch from Max, part of the British husband and wife team that runs SugaVida – by the time I was done hearing his pitch, I was ready to buy cases of the product, AND the pitch was so engaging that I could watch it for HOURS! Some of the benefits include a full uninterrupted eight hours of sleep if taken before bed, normalization of blood sugar levels for up to nine hours resulting in lack of hunger, and even hair growth. These lattes have an unbelievable taste and a ton of health benefits. This latte comes in three amazing flavours original, cardamom, and (my favourite) spicy ginger. Their other product is a turmeric latte made with SugaVida. SugaVida itself is Palmyra Tree Blossom sugar, which is rich in vitamin B12, diabetic-friendly, and gluten-free. SugaVida – There is so much to say about this product and brand. Top 4 New Products: (in no particular order) Fortunately for Canada, there are a few really amazing products debuting in Canada over the next few months, and in this post I will highlight the new products, and of course, provide a photo gallery of the rest of the amazing brands the show had to offer. This meant that most of the “new” products at the CHFA show were American brands moving to Canada for the first time, so I had seen them before. This year’s show was a little bit different than past years, however, due to the fact that I attended the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim last March. Each year, the show features a large selection of products, and is my chance to discover new brands and see familiar ones.

This year marked my tenth consecutive year attending the CHFA show in Toronto. Just… deafening silence.Sorry for the delay on this post – I started university in September and have been super busy with work 🙂 No critters scurry through the hills and leaves. Now he comes to realise, there’s no sounds of life. It seems to have seen use for that very purpose plenty of times yet there’s no horses, no stables or pens. And so he moves to the porch, ties the reins of his horse to the post out front. He is here with a purpose and he will fulfil it at any cost. Something feels entirely out of place, tells him to turn back round. None of this should make Eris feel on guard but he is. A few racks hang from the beams overhead, carrying an assortment of herbs in various stages of drying, neatly sorted. Scratches and scuffs cover it and the wood is dried.

It’s old, run down and could probably do with a patch job for the cracks in the walls. The cottage in sight looks no different than any place in the village. He’s not supposed to feel out of his element among woods. Yet there’s a looming energy from the forest up ahead. There’s few shadows and the planes are clear. Were he anyone else he might admit to the shivers that run down his spine or that slight sense of paranoia something follows him, watches him from the shadows. Whinnying and bucking but Eris manages to calm the creature, though the tension remains. The path isn’t strenuous but his horse grows restless.

That’s where he’ll go, following the hills to that single cottage overlooking this shit-hole of a village. The description his watch captain gave him seems correct. They seem to know their place so why does a single nuisance not? His own gaze falls to the cottage at the top of the hill, the one with the forest behind it. The ragtag villagers offer their respects, as is customary.

He earns some looks as he strides in on horseback. The path continues, through the village some middle-of-nowhere farmers village he cared little about and didn’t know existed until now.
